1. Finding your star's alma mater
Let's say that you're a huge Jimmy Smitts fan and you want to know
where he went to school. Starting from the Home page Click on
"Celebrities R through Z" (see Figure A in green). This takes you to Figure B,
where you find a row of letters. Click on the one that corresponds to
your celebrity--in this case "S" for "Smitts." This whisks you away
to the third and final page (It's really the same page as the one in
Figure B, but it's fun to pretend) where you will see all of the
celebrities that are listed under your letter (once again, "S" here).
Jimmy Smitts attended Brooklyn College (CUNY) and Cornell University.
Once you're finished, click on the box with the upwards arrow in it
(pictured in Figure C) and you'll be back in Figure B where you can
pick another letter (within that part of the alphabet--in this case R-Z)
or go to another part of this site via the links you'll find there (in the pink box).

2. Checking out the colleges
Okay, so now you've found Jimmy Smitts and maybe you're thinking that
you'd like to check out Brooklyn College and Cornell University (Watch
out for Cornell, though--it's pretty selective.). It works pretty much
the same way as last time. We'll start at Home again. This time, select
"School Links" (Figure 1 in green). This brings you to the same kind of
arrangement (pictured in Figure 2)--a row of letters (this time the whole
alphabet). Just pick the one you want. Remember that Brooklyn College
is just a subdivision of CUNY so in this case, the letter you want is
going to be "C" for both Brooklyn College and Cornell. Now you're in
Figure 3--actual size this time guys. This is the portion of the School
Links list that concerns Brooklyn College and Cornell University. There
are actually a few schools between CUNY and Cornell (I kind of sliced and
diced for practical purposes). Either way, clicking on "C" in Figure 2
will bring you to the top of the list of "C's" (marked with a pink "C"
like in the picture). From here, just click on whichever school you
want to see first and it will take you straight to it's official website.
